Our Team

In one word, Samantha was AMAZING. She was a beautiful, caring, shining soul who touched the lives of so many. Samantha was a talented athlete, accomplished student, and expressed her creativity with beautiful art and fashion. She inspired joy, kindness, passion, and love in all of us.

Samantha's mom - to say she was an AMAZING daughter would be an understatement! We love and miss you every day babe!! Can't wait to see you again Manth! xo

Erin founded the SMB Foundation in 2012 and now serves as president of the organization. Erin and Samantha shared a friendship in high school that inspired the founding of the SMB Foundation. Each year Erin leads the team in putting on the Annual Softball Tournament, our main fundraising event. Erin is a fifth grade teacher at Jordan Jackson Elementary School, and also coaches the Mansfield High School cheerleading team.

Sarah helped Erin found the SMB Foundation in 2012. Sarah travels from New York City several times each year to help plan the Annual Softball Tournament. As a nurse, Sarah is also our wellness expert, keeping everyone hydrated and ready to play softball. She works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore in New York.

Katie Jenkins helped Erin create the SMB Foundation in 2012 after the passing of their friend Samantha. Katie and Samantha had been friends since elementary school. They both played softball and shared a love of arts and crafts. With the SMB Foundation, Katie helps to plan and organize the Annual SMB Foundation Softball Tournament. She is a Clinical Project Manager at Akili Interactive Labs in Boston, and also manages the website.

As a member of the MHS Class of 2009 and a classmate of Samantha, Chris helps the SMB Foundation in every way. He is the expert for everything tournament related and works tirelessly to organize umpires, rules, fields, and equipment. Chris is a Special Education teacher at Mansfield High School.

Kellie is also a founding member of the SMB Foundation and works to put on the Annual SMB Tournament each year. She tackles everything from volunteer coordination, to scorekeeping, to cheering on our teams.

Becca helps to plan the Annual SMB Foundation Tournament every year. She is a veteran volunteer for the tournament, and bakes the most amazing SMB cupcakes for the cause.

Tina joins the SMB Foundation as a Board Member, and a member of the Mansfield High School Community who was close to Samantha during her time at MHS.
